Notes on Silence

A blank page is not empty. It is full of every sentence you have not written yet, all competing for the same first word.

I have started leaving more white space in what I make — in writing, in rooms, in conversations. Not because I have less to say, but because I trust the reader more.

Silence is not the absence of communication. Often it is the clearest one.
