A Short List of Things I Was Wrong About

I was wrong that more tools make better work. Most of my best pieces came from constraints, not options.

I was wrong that inspiration precedes action. In practice it is almost always the reverse — the work starts, and the interest follows.

I was wrong, most of all, that finishing something means it is done. Nothing is ever quite done. You just stop, on purpose, at a good place.
